Parks and Recreation

The Village of Marathon City has several parks to provide outdoor recreational activities. 

Marathon City is located minute away from Granite Peak on of the Midwest’s premier ski areas.

County Materials Sports Complex

This impressive community park features:

  • Three high school softball and youth baseball fields
  • A new concession stand and press box facility
  • Two outdoor basketball courts
  • Two pickleball courts
  • A modern, all‑ages playground

Veteran’s Park

This park is located on 4th Street. It features shelters and softball field. It is frequently used for local events. It is home to youth baseball and softball leagues as well as the Marathon Fun Days held annually on Labor Day weekend.

Lions Club Tower Park

This small park has a playground and small shelter. It is located at the intersection of STH 107 and Town Road.

Our Mission: To provide the community with a pleasant and safe water environment for fitness, education and recreation. MASA offers swimming lessons, water fitness classes, lap swim time, birthday parties and recreational swimming as well as providing swim lessons for area schools. We also host the Manta Rays; our area swim club.
